Who can take part

  • You have shoulder osteoarthritis and also AVN (bone tissue death in the shoulder area).
  • You have not had a prior shoulder replacement (shoulder arthroplasty).
  • You do not have inflammatory arthritis (like rheumatoid arthritis) and you do not have a shoulder tumor.
  • You have not had prior shoulder surgery that used a metal implant.
  • You are willing to be followed for 2 years after surgery and can take part in visits in English or French.
