  • Be at least 18 years old (some driver-focused parts require age 21+).
  • Be willing to speak Spanish (some parts also allow English/French/Bengali).
  • Have a BMI showing overweight (25 to 29.9) or obesity (30 or higher).
  • Be in the New York area for part of the study (length depends on the group).
  • Have a phone that can receive text messages (and agree to audio recording).
  • Avoid key exclusions like being pregnant, on a liquid-only diet, or having certain serious illnesses (cancer, kidney, liver).
