Who can take part

  • You are female and between 18 and 75 years old
  • You had a mastectomy and lymph node removal (more than 10 nodes) and your surgery margins were clear
  • Your cancer is invasive breast cancer with certain high-risk features (for example: age under 40, grade 3, lymph/vascular invasion, hormone-receptor negative or HER2 positive, or more affected lymph nodes)
  • There is no spread to distant organs, and no spread to supraclavicular or internal mammary lymph nodes
  • You can receive radiotherapy (radiation) and have no major health problems that would make radiation unsafe; your energy level score (ECOG) is 0 to 1
  • You have not had chemotherapy before surgery (no neoadjuvant chemo) and you can and will sign consent
