Who can take part

  • You are between 20 and 40 years old
  • You are having a planned (elective) C-section, not an emergency C-section
  • You are full term (more than 37 weeks) with one baby
  • Your height is between 167 and 184 cm
  • You are generally healthy for surgery (ASA class I or II)
  • You do not have certain pregnancy or medical risks, and your baseline heart rate is between 60 and 130 bpm
