Xeomin injections for focal hand muscle spasms

This trial tests incobotulinumtoxinA (Xeomin) injections to reduce focal hand dystonia—unwanted muscle tightening in the hand. You may be able to join whether you’ve had this condition before or have tried similar injections in the past, as long as certain safety rules are met.

Who can take part

  • You are at least 18 years old and can sign consent to join
  • A neurologist specializing in movement disorders has diagnosed you with focal hand dystonia
  • You can follow the study visits and instructions for about 12 weeks
  • If you can become pregnant: you agree to use effective birth control during treatment
  • You do not have other nerve or brain/spinal problems in the affected arm besides dystonia (for example spasticity)
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and you have no allergy to Xeomin or similar botulinum toxin medicines
