Venetoclax study in relapsed CLL using early tumor tracking

Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia

Part of Blood & lymphatic, Cancer, Immune system & allergy clinical trials.

This trial tests how well venetoclax (a targeted pill for CLL) works in people whose CLL has come back or hasn’t responded. It also closely tracks early changes in the CLL cells to better understand what happens during treatment.

Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with CLL or SLL according to standard guidelines
  • Your CLL is “active” right now—such as major weight loss, fevers/night sweats without infection, or worsening blood counts or swelling
  • You’re 18 or older, and your day-to-day functioning is fairly good (ECOG 0–2)
  • You can take venetoclax after a planned ramp-up period and you have a cancer doctor who will manage your care
  • You can do required testing and visits, including swallowing the capsules
  • Before treatment, you can complete required blood/compatibility testing (including G6PD and HLA tests)

NCT05246345Recruiting
Study for chronic lymphocytic leukemia after venetoclax failure

This study looks at why chronic lymphocytic leukemia may stop responding after a medicine called venetoclax. By analyzing tumor samples, researchers hope to better understand resistance and guide future treatment options.

NCT06967610Recruiting· Phase 2
Pirtobrutinib, venetoclax, and obinutuzumab for recurrent CLL/SLL

This trial tests a combination of three drugs (pirtobrutinib, venetoclax, and obinutuzumab) given for a limited time to people whose CLL/SLL has come back after prior treatment. The goal is to see if this combination can control the cancer and possibly allow a treatment-free period.

Triple therapy for relapsed CLL after prior treatments

This trial tests three drugs—roginolisib, venetoclax, and rituximab—for people with CLL that has come back or not responded after at least two prior treatments, including a BTK inhibitor. The goal is to see if this combination is safe and effective.

Comparing new treatments for relapsed CLL or SLL

This study tests a combination of sonrotoclax plus obinutuzumab or rituximab versus the current standard venetoclax plus rituximab for people whose CLL or SLL has come back or not responded to previous treatment. The goal is to see which approach helps keep the cancer from growing longer.

Testing venetoclax after BTK inhibitor for CLL

This trial tests giving venetoclax to people with CLL who are already taking a BTK inhibitor and have stable disease. The goal is to see if adding venetoclax can help eliminate any remaining CLL cells.
