- You are between 18 and 90 years old
- You had an ischemic event affecting the back of the brain (posterior circulation)
- Imaging shows both vertebral artery origins are diseased (narrowed, blocked, or one is underdeveloped)
- The side being treated has more than 50% narrowing
- You are not pregnant and can safely receive anti-platelet medicines (blood thinners)
- Your kidney function is not severely reduced (creatinine 2.5 or less)
