Who can take part

  • You had spine surgery for an infection, including cleaning out (debridement) during the operation
  • Your infection was caused by bacteria (not fungi or tuberculosis-type germs)
  • You can commit to at least 12 months of follow-up after your hospital stay
  • At most 3 debridement procedures were done during surgery
  • You must have had at least one intraoperative debridement of the infected area
