Who can take part
- You can sign a written consent form to join the study
- You are between 19 and 40 years old
- You are between 37 and 41 weeks pregnant
- Your C-section is planned (elective primary or first repeat), and you are not in labor
- You will have spinal anesthesia (not general anesthesia) and you’re not receiving oxytocin to start labor
- You are not taking medicines that can change uterine muscle strength (examples: insulin, nifedipine, labetolol, magnesium sulfate)
