Who can take part

  • You’re older than 18 years
  • You are planning a revision hip replacement (redoing part or all of the hip), not a first-time (primary) surgery
  • Your surgeon plans to use an acetabular shell that can fit a 36 mm or larger femoral head
  • You are willing to take part in the study
  • The surgeon should not decide during surgery to use a constrained liner (a special “extra-stable” insert)
