Ceramic hip implant study for first-time hip replacement

Who can take part

  • You are having your first (primary) hip replacement for osteoarthritis (coxarthrosis)
  • Your surgeon plans a cementless total hip replacement
  • You can sign consent and follow study instructions and follow-up visits
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is 35 or less
  • You do not have hip trauma or planned revision (replacement of a prior hip implant)
  • You are not pregnant and you do not have rheumatoid or major neurologic disease
