Who can take part
- You have had your first ST-elevation heart attack (no previous heart attacks)
- You received primary angioplasty (opening the blocked artery) within 24 hours of symptom start
- You are an adult (age 18 or older)
- Your condition is stable enough for MRI (not very severe—Killip class must be 2 or less)
- Your kidneys work well enough (eGFR 30 or higher)
- You can safely have a heart MRI (no MRI safety issues and no gadolinium contrast allergy; you’re able to consent)
