Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 89 years old
  • You have ongoing belly (abdominal) pain from chronic calcific pancreatitis and pancreatic duct stones confirmed on imaging or scope tests
  • Your main pancreatic duct has stones in the head or body (not only in the tail or side branches)
  • Your stones are at least 5 mm, or the stone is stuck in the main duct
  • If you had the same type of stone treatment (ESWL or pancreatoscopy-guided lithotripsy) in the last 12 months, you may not qualify
  • You can safely undergo general anesthesia and related procedures (like placing a pancreatic duct stent if needed)
