Who can take part
- You are receiving hemodialysis
- Your blood pressure is high enough: before dialysis systolic average >140 for 2 weeks, or after dialysis systolic average >130 for 2 weeks
- You have been on hemodialysis for at least 2 months
- Your blood pressure is not too low or too high during the 2-week screening period
- Your blood pressure does not drop excessively during dialysis, and your fluid removal rate is not too high during screening
- You are not pregnant, and your dialysis care does not use routine intradialytic clonidine or midodrine
