Who can take part
- You have a diagnosis of focal or related congenital hyperinsulinism (FoHI/DiHI) based on blood sugar and insulin pattern testing
- Genetic testing has found a disease-causing change in ABCC8 or KCNJ1
- Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) is not well controlled with standard medicines like diazoxide or octreotide
- You can stop certain medicines in time for the PET scan (you have a clear “washout” plan)
- Your liver and kidneys are working normally
