Who can take part
- You have a confirmed malignant brain/spinal cord tumor that is recurrent, progressing, or not responding to treatment
- You cannot have diffuse midline glioma or diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DMG/DIPG)
- Your care team must be able to place an Ommaya reservoir or a programmable VP shunt for tumor-area delivery
- Your brain surgery cavity must be large enough (at least 2 cm by 2 cm in two dimensions on imaging) if using the tumor-area infusion plan
- You must be well enough to participate (Lansky/Karnofsky performance score at least 50) and have acceptable liver, kidney, bone-marrow, and clotting blood tests
- You must have had enough time since prior treatments and be off certain medicines (including specific immune-suppressing meds, growth factors, and unstable steroid dosing)
