CapTem plus Y-90 for liver-spread neuroendocrine tumors

This Phase 2 study tests whether combining capecitabine/temozolomide (“CapTem”) with Y-90 treatment can shrink neuroendocrine tumor (NET) spread in the liver. It may help people whose tumor is mostly in the liver and cannot be fully removed with surgery.

Who can take part

  • You are an adult (18+) with a confirmed grade 2 or 3 well-differentiated neuroendocrine tumor.
  • Your liver has measurable metastases (at least one spot bigger than 1 cm), and at least half of the tumor burden is in the liver.
  • Your liver tumor burden must not be more than 50% of your liver volume, and you must have a main portal vein that is open (not blocked).
  • You should not have had chemotherapy or radiation in the last 4 weeks, and you need enough energy/function (ECOG 0–2).
  • Your bloodwork and organs must be strong enough (good liver tests, enough platelets, kidney function within limits, and acceptable blood clotting).
  • You must be able to have imaging planning (CT and contrast-enhanced MRI) and—if chosen—Y-90 treatment planning with angiography simulation that can be safely completed.
