This trial studies whether a device that gently moves your leg helps recovery after surgery for specific hip or knee fractures. It may help with healing and getting you back to moving more comfortably sooner, compared with not using the device.

Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years old or older
  • Your fracture must be one of these types: hip joint (acetabular), just above the knee on the thigh bone (supracondylar femur), or the knee surface on the shin bone (tibial plateau)
  • You must have already had surgery to fix the fracture
  • Your injuries must not prevent you from putting weight on the injured leg
  • You cannot be pregnant, and you must not be incarcerated (a prisoner)
