Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older
  • You are currently hospitalized in the ICU for COVID-19 affecting the lungs
  • This is your first time being admitted to an ICU
  • You have a confirmed COVID-19 test (like PCR) from a breathing sample
  • Blood/other samples can be taken within the first 24 hours after ICU admission
  • You (or your family/next of kin) were told about the study and did not refuse
