Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with liver cirrhosis
  • You were hospitalized recently, or during the last 0 to 42 days, for complications of cirrhosis
  • You have taken a proton-pump inhibitor (PPI) for at least 28 days before screening
  • Your PPI dose is no more than one standard dose per day for at least 7 days before screening
  • You can understand the study and sign consent, and you can stay available for the full study
  • If you can become pregnant, you must not be pregnant or breastfeeding, and you must use required birth control during the study
