Who can take part
- You have confirmed adenocarcinoma where the esophagus meets the stomach (GEJ), stage that has not spread to distant organs
- Your cancer can be removed with curative intent (it must be considered operable by the local surgeon)
- You are age 18 or older
- You are well enough to do daily activities (ECOG score 0 to 2)
- Your overall health for anesthesia is not too severe (ASA score under 4)
