Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older with a recent traumatic spinal cord injury.
  • You can be awake, responsive, and clearly oriented when you are admitted.
  • You must be admitted to the hospital within 24 hours after the injury.
  • You can cooperate with study testing and give written consent (or consent can be appropriately obtained).
  • You are treated at an Austrian hospital that uses the ASCIS registry (if applicable).
