Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- Your rectal cancer has come back in the side lymph nodes (lateral nodes) with suspicious features on scan
- The side lymph node(s) are big enough: at least 7 mm in short-axis, or at least 5 mm with concerning warning signs
- You have not had prior pelvic radiation treatment
- You have not had prior surgery removing side pelvic lymph nodes for a related pelvic cancer
- You do not have distant metastases (cancer spread to organs far away) at the same time, and you are not pregnant
