Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 80 years old
- You have been diagnosed with rectal adenocarcinoma (a type of colon cancer)
- Your tumor is located within 10 cm of the anal verge (the opening of the rectum)
- Scans show the cancer has not spread to other parts of your body
- You have not had other cancers (except certain skin or cervical cancers)
- You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or have certain bowel conditions
