Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with primary hepatocellular carcinoma (liver cancer) by a specialist or confirmed by tissue testing
  • Your liver cancer is small enough for CyberKnife, and you cannot have—or choose not to have—other treatments like surgery or transplant
  • You have decompensated cirrhosis (called Child-Pugh B or C)
  • The tumor is not in the portal vein, and there is no cancer outside the liver or in nearby lymph nodes
  • Your health is strong enough for treatment (ECOG 0–1), and your blood counts are adequate (platelets and white blood cells meet limits)
  • The tumor is at least 5 mm away from key organs like the esophagus, stomach, duodenum, and bowel
