Who can take part
- You are 18 or older.
- You have been diagnosed with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), a type of liver cancer, confirmed by biopsy or other lab tests.
- Your cancer is at a stage where it might be removable with surgery (stage IB, II, or IIIA).
- You have not had any previous whole-body treatments (like chemotherapy or targeted therapy) for this cancer.
- Your overall health is fairly good — you can take care of yourself and are up and about at least half the day (ECOG score 0 or 1).
- Your liver, kidneys, and blood counts are within acceptable ranges (your doctor can check these).
