Who can take part

  • You are at least 18 years old and can take part in the study activities (performance status 0–1).
  • You have a confirmed diagnosis of non-small cell lung cancer, esophageal squamous cell cancer, or a thymic epithelial tumor.
  • You are expected to live more than 3 months and your doctor does not think you need palliative radiation.
  • Before and during treatment, you can agree to provide fresh tumor biopsy samples for research.
  • Your blood, liver, and kidney tests are within required ranges (or close enough to be considered adequate).
  • You can use effective birth control during the study (pregnancy or breastfeeding is not allowed).
