Who can take part

  • Confirmed diagnosis of small cell lung cancer (not yet treated, or advanced-stage disease)
  • Age 18 or older with life expectancy of at least 8 weeks
  • Good overall health status—able to care for yourself with minimal help from others
  • Adequate blood counts and liver/kidney function based on recent blood tests
  • Lung function test showing your airways can handle the treatment
  • No history of other cancers (except non-melanoma skin cancer or cervical cancer treated successfully)
