Who can take part
- You are a woman age 18 or older when you sign the consent form
- You have confirmed invasive breast cancer that is HER2-negative and stage IIB or III (or stage III with RH positive, based on the study staging system)
- You can have study doctors check your general ability to function as ECOG 0–2 (usually means you’re up and about some, but not bedridden)
- Your heart is healthy enough for treatment based on an echocardiogram or MUGA scan done within the last 60 days
- Your kidney, liver, and other organ tests are “adequate” based on blood/work tests done within 60 days
- You agree to use birth control during treatment and for at least 120 days after your last dose
