Who can take part

  • You had your first stroke on one side of the brain, between 9 and 24 months ago
  • You’re 40 to 74 years old
  • You have mild-to-moderate weakness on one side and ongoing walking problems
  • You can walk on your own (with or without a walking aid) for at least 1 minute, at a slower-but-not-too-slow pace
  • Your vision and hearing are normal or corrected (like with glasses or hearing aids)
  • You can do basic exercise safely based on medical clearance
