Who can take part

  • Your first stroke occurred more than 2 weeks ago
  • You can stand for at least 2 minutes (with help if needed) and walk at least 10 meters (with or without a cane or walker)
  • Your leg muscle stiffness is mild to moderate (not severe)
  • You have good enough thinking skills to follow study instructions
  • You do not have severe heart, bone, or other neurological problems that prevent walking
  • You do not have severe vision, hearing, or speech problems
