Healthy recovery program for PTSD after sexual trauma

This study looks at how to help people recover from PTSD symptoms after sexual trauma, including feeling mentally “contaminated.” You may be eligible if you currently meet criteria for PTSD and report these contamination feelings, and you can avoid starting other trauma treatments during the study.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have a past-month diagnosis of PTSD related to sexual trauma
  • You currently feel “mental contamination” from the trauma (questionnaires must meet the study’s cutoffs)
  • If you take psychiatric medicines, your dose has been stable for at least 4 weeks and you can keep it stable
  • You can speak and read English well enough to complete study forms
  • You agree not to start new trauma-focused treatments during the study
