Talk therapy for PTSD and STI prevention in men

This trial tests a type of talk therapy called Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to see if it helps reduce PTSD symptoms and risky sexual behaviors that can lead to sexually transmitted infections. It's for men who have sex with men and have had condomless anal sex recently.

Who can take part

  • You live in Ontario or Quebec and can travel to Toronto or Montreal for study visits.
  • You are a man over 18 years old.
  • You've had anal sex without a condom with a man in the past 3 months.
  • You have symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), like flashbacks or nightmares.
  • You can read, speak, and understand English.
