Who can take part

  • You must be an actively enlisted U.S. Army soldier assigned to basic training at Fort Jackson.
  • You need a confirmed tibia (shinbone) stress injury that requires time off for recovery (“convalescent leave”).
  • You must be skeletally mature (your growth plates are closed).
  • You must be willing and able to give yourself the study medicine as instructed.
  • You must want to continue your military commitment and be able to follow study plans.
