Who can take part
- You must be 18 to 85 years old and able to sign informed consent
- You have type 2 diabetes (not type 1) and your HbA1c is between 7.5% and 10.5%
- Your fasting blood sugar at screening must be above 100 mg/dL but not above 300 mg/dL
- Your cholesterol risk is high based on a diabetes heart-risk guideline, and LDL is above goal despite lifestyle changes (often needing statins)
- Your BMI must be above 19 and at or below 45
