Who can take part
- You are age 18 to 70.
- If you had bariatric surgery, it was more than 6 months ago (not required for non-surgical comparison groups).
- You have a history of hyperinsulinemic hypoglycemia (not required for post-bariatric and non-surgical comparison groups).
- You are not taking sulfonylurea medicines or other glucose-affecting medicines close to the study start; you may need a washout period.
- You have no insulinoma (a specific pancreas tumor) and no current pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- You do not have a recent active infection or serious illness within 2 weeks of dosing, and your blood tests show adequate kidney and liver function.
- You are not allergic to the study meal or any study medications. If you could become pregnant, you must use effective birth control.
