Treatment study for minor elbow fractures in young children

Who can take part

  • Your child is 3 to 8 years old
  • Your child has a Type 1 supracondylar humerus fracture (a specific fracture pattern)
  • The fracture is not displaced or angled (or meets the trial’s Type 1 checklist for extension injury)
  • No other elbow injury is present
  • No nerve or blood-vessel problems are linked to the fracture (no neurovascular compromise)
  • No known bone disease that makes fractures more likely
