Conservative versus surgical treatment for children's elbow fractures

Who can take part

  • Child is between 1 and 12 years old
  • Has a Gartland type II supracondylar fracture (a specific elbow fracture just above the joint)
  • Fracture is not open or breaking the skin
  • No nerve or blood vessel damage in the injured arm
  • No other injuries in the same arm or elbow
  • Able to attend follow-up appointments for monitoring
