Drug trial for stubborn leg ulcers that won’t heal
Part of Heart & circulation, Skin clinical trials.
This Phase 2 trial tests MTX-001 to help heal “venous stasis ulcers,” which are open sores caused by weak leg vein circulation. It may be an option if you’ve tried standard high-compression care for weeks and your ulcer is still not healing.

This trial tests whether a special gel helps heal venous leg ulcers faster. It is for people with a diagnosed vein problem and a leg ulcer between 2 and 12 square centimeters that has been present for at least 4 weeks.
This trial tests if adding a special wound dressing made from pig placenta to standard care helps heal leg ulcers faster than standard care alone. You may qualify if you have a leg ulcer that has not shown much improvement in the last 4 weeks.
