Who can take part

  • You are 21 or older
  • You have type 1 or type 2 diabetes
  • Your foot ulcer is between 1 and 5 square centimeters after cleaning, has been present for 4 weeks to a year, and is not infected or exposing bone
  • Your leg has good blood flow, confirmed by a test like an ankle-brachial index between 0.7 and 1.3
  • You can attend weekly visits and agree to use offloading (special footwear or padding) if the ulcer is on the bottom of your foot
