Who can take part

  • Be between 18 and 55 years old
  • Have not been diagnosed with a major mental health or brain condition
  • Have not used drugs or had substance abuse in the last 6 months, and be abstinent from alcohol and substances for 48 hours
  • Have no current pain and no history of long-term pain syndromes or neurological disorders
  • Have had a recent unwanted romantic breakup
  • Be able to safely do an MRI scan (no metal in your body and you can tolerate enclosed spaces)
