Who can take part
- You have non-alcohol-related fatty liver disease (NAFLD) shown on ultrasound or MRI, or by a specific ultrasound vibration measure
- You do not take certain fat-accumulating medications (like steroids, methotrexate, amiodarone, or tamoxifen)
- You drink less alcohol than the study allows (under 210 g/week for men or under 140 g/week for women)
- You do NOT have other chronic liver diseases like hepatitis B/C, hemochromatosis, autoimmune hepatitis, or similar conditions
- You are age 18 to 80, and can sign consent to follow the study plan
