Study lung changes before and after treatment for active TB

Who can take part

  • Be between 18 and 60 years old.
  • Have active tuberculosis in only one lung (unilateral TB).
  • Have not started TB treatment yet, and no strong signs of past TB on scans.
  • Be able and willing to have research bronchoscopy (a procedure to collect lung samples) at baseline, 6 months, and 18 months.
  • If living with HIV, you must have been stable on HIV treatment (antiretroviral therapy) for at least 1 year.
