Delayed radiation versus usual timing for certain brain tumors

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • Your tumor must match a specific set of tumor genetics: 1p and 19q co-deletion, and IDH-mutant (IDH1 or IDH2).
  • Your diagnosis must be confirmed as low-grade oligodendroglioma by a specialized review (WHO 2016).
  • You should not have had any prior radiation or chemotherapy for your brain tumor.
  • Your brain MRI after any surgery must not show signs of the tumor becoming more aggressive (no new concerning enhancement and no clear fast growth).
  • You must be well enough to participate: Karnofsky score of 60 or higher, and recent blood tests meet required minimums; pregnancy test is required for women who can become pregnant.
