Proton versus standard radiation for slow-growing brain tumors

Who can take part

  • You have a slow-growing brain tumor (grade 2 or 3) that has a specific gene change (IDH mutation).
  • Your doctor has recommended radiation therapy as part of your treatment.
  • You are able to care for yourself (at least 70% on a standard daily-living scale).
  • You are 18 or older.
  • Radiation treatment must start within 7-10 weeks after your surgery (or after a recurrence, if your tumor came back).
  • You have acceptable blood test results and are not pregnant (if applicable).
