Who can take part

  • Be between 18 and 65 years old when you sign consent
  • Have an IDH-mutated grade 2 or 3 astrocytoma or oligodendroglioma (brain tumor diagnosis)
  • Need radiation treatment as part of your care plan
  • Be well enough for daily activities (performance status 0–2) and able to get an MRI
  • Have little to no “contrast enhancement” on MRI (no more than 1–2 tiny spots)
  • Be able to travel for proton therapy if you’re assigned to that group
