Who can take part
- Your child is from newborn up to under 18 years old
- The baby was born at least 38 weeks gestation
- Your child is having planned surgery in the chest area (including certain heart surgeries) through an opening in the chest (sternotomy/thoracotomy) or VATS
- The surgery is expected to require an inpatient hospital stay of at least 48 hours
- Your child has not used any opioid medicine in the last 30 days
