Who can take part
- You are scheduled for a planned (not emergency) surgery with general anesthesia and a breathing tube.
- You are between 18 and 59 years old.
- You are in good health or have only mild, well-controlled medical problems (ASA I or II).
- You are not taking medicines for high blood pressure, anxiety, or depression.
- Your weight is not more than 20% above the ideal for your height.
- You do not have a hiatal hernia or acid reflux disease (GERD).
