Who can take part

  • Be over 18 years old
  • Have been taking omalizumab (OMA) for severe allergic asthma for at least 33 months, prescribed by a lung (pulmonary) specialist
  • Your asthma is well controlled: your Asthma Control Test (ACT) score is 18 or higher
  • In the past year, you had no more than one asthma flare-up that required steroid tablets or injections (at least 2 days) or doubling steroid doses for at least 2 days
  • You must be able and willing to stop omalizumab as the study requires, and you should not be planning pregnancy or switching to another advanced asthma treatment
  • You must have health insurance, follow treatments reliably, not be in another research study, and be willing to sign consent
