Who can take part

  • You are age 18 or older
  • You have AML (acute myeloid leukemia) or a high-grade myeloid neoplasm, with a high percentage of blast cells
  • Your disease is considered high-risk based on specific risk guidelines (for newly diagnosed patients, it differs between Phase 1 and Phase 2)
  • Your liver, kidney, and heart tests meet safety cutoffs (AST/ALT not too high, bilirubin not too high, kidney function ok, heart pumping function at least 45%)
  • You can do basic daily activities fairly well (ECOG 0–2) and your overall risk score is below the trial’s limit
  • Your white blood cell count is below 25,000 (or you can use planned medicines like hydroxyurea/cytarabine to lower it)
